| A subwoofer intended for application in systems with Grand Dream working as main speaker coul not be an ordinary design. A typical system with a few dozen liters volume, reflex, closed box, or bandpass enclosure could not provide the required quality level or the required loudness level in bigger rooms. So when we worked on the initial concept of the design the transmission line was chosen.
Dream Sub has the bass quality which is so characteristic of transmission lines. Low frequencies are free from the softness typical of most subwoofers, and at the same time they are very powerful and dynamic.
Two very high excursion 30-centimeter bass drivers are used in Dream Sub. The transmission line itself and placement of the drivers along the line were designed to provide flat frequency response up to 120Hz. Each driver is powered by a separate 400-watt aplifier.

Drivers Dream Sub utilises a pair of 12-ich drivers form Danish company Peerless. They have been designed specifically for subwoofer applications. They have nomex cone and very high linear excursion range of ±12,5 mm.
Amplifiers Each driver is powered by a separate 400-watt amplifier with a MOS-FET output stage.
Enclosure Enclosure is made of sandwich walls, which are made from several MDF layers glued together. Thanks to this walls are much stiffer. The transmission line formed inside provides additional reinforcement to the construction.
